Scott county serves as a regional accommodations center which offers a variety of scenic areas and other points of interest, such as the Pigeon Roost Memorial and Lake Iola City Park. Hardy Lake - a 2,062-acre recreation area - is the major attraction for outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, hiking, and boating. The County is host to seven different hometown festivals each year.

Scottsburg Heritage Station: (1872) L.M. & I. Railroad Station in Scottsburg now houses the Greater Scott County Chamber of Commerce, the Scott County Economic Development Corporation, and the Scott County Historical Society's Archives

Leota Covered Bridge: (1995) Indiana's newest covered bridge in the village of Leota

Knobstone Trail: The Leota trailhead is a mid-point entrance to Indiana's longest foot trail
